The International Bioenergy Congress -CIB- will dedicate its 14th edition to reviewing the solutions that solid biomass and renewable gas contribute to the change in the energy model in the Iberian Peninsula and Latin America and the challenges that arise to achieve their full incorporation into the mix energetic.

The CIB is held from September 21 to 23, 2021 in Valladolid, organized in 3 days in the afternoon and in a mixed, face-to-face and digital format, with the aim of facilitating access to the largest possible number of professionals and interested parties from both the Iberian Peninsula and Latin America.

Registration is now open on the website https://www.congresobioenergia.org/

12 thematic sessions and 50 speakers from 14 countries

CIB21 attendees will have the opportunity to listen to the analysis of the main national and European agents on the transposition of the REDII directive and how it affects each of the members of the bioenergy value chain. Also, they will be able to introduce themselves in the application of the latest technologies such as IoT and artificial intelligence in bioenergy projects and will learn about the latest developments in the use of agrobiomass in Europe and the innovations adopted for industrial heat generation in projects already underway.

Throughout two specific sessions, the speakers will share the keys to the renewable gas market and technologies and the latest research and innovations related to the use of biogas and biomethane for energy uses.

In parallel, the CIB will present the situation of the implementation of biomass and bioenergy in Latin America, as well as the results of the latest research carried out to evaluate the available resources and the models that optimize their use. In these sessions dedicated to Latin America, the latest technologies available for the sector will be shown.

The CIB 2021 is organized by AVEBIOM and by CYTED, the Ibero-American Program of Science and Technology for Development, and has the collaboration of AEBIG, AgroBioHeat, the Bioenergy Cluster of Catalonia, the Digital Innovation Hub Industry 4.0, SURE, ENplus® , Bioconservation, Engie, Naturgy, IDAE, Junta de Castilla y León and Valladolid City Council.

About Avebiom

The Spanish Biomass Association (Avebiom), established in 2004, brings together the main actors in the bioenergy sector throughout the entire biomass value chain, and its objective is to promote the development of the sector in Spain and contribute to increase the consumption of sustainable biomass for energy purposes. AVEBIOM has organized 14 editions with the present of the Bioenergy Congress. In total, 502 presentations by national and international experts and 3.170 registered since the first edition in 2006.
