The Andamarc geriatric residence, which is located opposite the General University Hospital of Ciudad Real, has a constructed area of 9.200 m2, in a newly developed area, in a quiet environment, with spacious and comfortable rooms adapted to its 200 residents, who receive 24 hour service.
Aware of the economic relevance of the energy costs of the building, the company chose a system of biomass to generate heat, hot water and air conditioning, thus betting on a sustainable system, both economically and environmentally seen.
The boiler room has 4 boilers @Hargassner of 200 kW in cascade, the pellet silo and a 5.000 liter tank with no other support system. The boilers generate in summer they supply the necessary hot water to generate cold through an absorption machine that reaches all rooms through the air conditioning.
