Naparpellet launches the first bag made of potato starch on the market.

The characteristics that make this packaging unique is its biodegradable, compostable and reusable quality. In addition, the inks used are made from water, therefore, biodegradable and vegan, that is, they do not contain any chemicals that affect the earth.

The environment and the sustainability of the planet are the fundamental pillars of the Utzubar-Naparpellet Group. We have always worked to improve our production processes, in addition to seeking constant innovation to reduce the Carbon Footprint and ecological impact. In our constant search to minimize environmental impact, we have achieved the best result with the 100% biodegradable and compostable bag of potato starch.

One of the characteristics that we have taken into account when launching this product is that it is a plastic-free container, avoiding one of the main problems and waste in the modern world. On the planet, over 200 million tons of plastic are consumed annually, and it takes about a thousand years to decompose. The use of raw materials of natural origin makes it possible to reduce both the dependence on materials of petrochemical origin and the emissions of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere at the end of their useful life.

Naparpellet is the first pellet mill to obtain the Life Cycle Certificate (Carbon Footprint) with 85,16 kg/t. With the use of the potato starch sack, we reduced CO65 emissions from the packaging by 2%, obtaining a final equivalent of 73,42 kg/t.

The characteristics that make this packaging unique is its biodegradable, compostable and reusable quality. In addition, the inks used are made from water, therefore, biodegradable and vegan, that is, they do not contain any chemicals that affect the earth.
