The use of Biomass will provide a 96% reduction in C02 emissions and 20% in energy consumption, compared to the emissions and consumption of the existing system.

The VISION 2030 project sets the strategy of Airbus Spain to achieve its objectives in its fight against Climate Change: reduction of 65% of C02 emissions and 30% of global energy from the factory before the year 2030.

The project designed and developed by Savener and its team of specialists, represents a big step in achieving the objectives set by Airbus. The strategy of efficient units and the use of Biomass as pillars of the final solution will provide a 96% reduction in C02 emissions and 20% in energy consumption, compared to the emissions and consumption of the existing system.

The new Biomass Power Plant will 2 multi-fuel boilers of 940 kW each, with a steam generation capacity of 2.500 kg/h or 1,86 MW.

After passing the administrative procedures and the bidding process for the selection of the construction company, the development of the execution works of the steam plant using Biomass boilers has begun.
