The double AVEBIOM Innovation Award also has the category of Technological innovation. The prizes will be awarded at the Valladolid Fair, on May 9, 2023, at 13:00 p.m., after the official opening of Expobiomasa.
Among the innovative practices presented are mobile briquetting machines in the field, innovative combustion systems, stoves that simplify cleaning, new ways of selling biomass, digital innovation for efficiency or self-consumption of biomass linked to fire prevention.
One of the main objectives of the network exchangebiom (BRANCHES project) is to give visibility to little-known innovative practices that can inspire other companies and entrepreneurs to launch new and disruptive businesses based on the use of biomass.
The period for submitting applications in the category of Best Innovative Practice, in its second edition, began on January 15 and ended on March 31. Until April 20, the public voting period will remain open. Subsequently, a professional jury will evaluate the applications and their result will be averaged with that of the public to designate the winning practice.
Endowment of the prizes
The award for Best Innovative Practice consists of a series of promotional actions to publicize the practice through seminars, publications and other visualization actions.
On the other hand, the prize for Technological Innovation is endowed with €2.000 and two second prizes endowed with €500 each will also be awarded. In this category, 41 candidacies have been presented.
