Innergy is participating in the Expobiomasa 2025 Innovation Awards with a revolutionary proposal for emissions control in biomass installations: the Dynamic Rotary Air Cleaner (DRAC), a solution that combines efficiency, low energy consumption, and minimal maintenance.
Designed to comply with the most stringent environmental regulations, such as European Directive 2015/2193, the DRAC system reduces particulate emissions to levels between 20 and 50 mg/Nm³. It does this through innovative three-stage filtration technology: inertial gas impaction, rotating brushes for continuous mechanical cleaning, and an air blast system that eliminates maintenance downtime.
This development stands out not only for its effectiveness, but also for its great economic efficiency: It represents 40% less investment (CAPEX) compared to bag filters or electrostatic precipitators (ESP) and reduces operating costs (OPEX) by 60%, by eliminating consumables and reducing electricity consumption to only 8–10 kW, compared to 30–35 kW of conventional systems.
thanks to its design compact and modular, the DRAC is especially suitable for installations with space limitationsIt can operate at temperatures up to 400°C with very low pressure drop (25–40 mmwc) and is suitable for demanding fuels such as bagasse, rice husks, or municipal solid waste (MSW). It can be installed in a matter of days, unlike the weeks or months required by other technologies, and its scalability makes it ideal for projects ranging from 1 to 50 MW.
A range of biomass solutions
Beyond the DRAC, Innergy offers a wide range of technological solutions for biomass-based industrial thermal installations. From complete turnkey plants even systems heat and power generation Adapted to the specific needs of each client, the company is committed to integrating innovation, sustainability and profitability.
Innergy has developed High-efficiency biomass boilers, steam and superheated water generation systems, as well as thermal cogeneration solutions that allow agri-food, paper, and wood industries to reduce their energy costs and carbon footprint. All their equipment incorporates remote control and monitoring technologies, facilitating predictive maintenance and more efficient management.
INNERGY also develops thermal oil boilers that use biomass as an energy source. These boilers are designed for industrial applications requiring temperatures of up to 350°C and power outputs of up to 50 MW, offering efficient and sustainable solutions for sectors such as the chemical, textile, and food industries.
INNERGY completes its offer by providing containerized biomass silos, designed for the efficient and safe storage of biomass in a compact, modular format. These silos facilitate biomass transportation, installation, and handling, adapting to different logistical needs.
With over 55 years of experience and more than 3.000 completed industrial projects, INNERGY continues to lead the way in innovation in sustainable energy solutions.
