Not all energies cost the same

Price of biofuels

To make a quick personal calculation: how the savings are in the fuel is proportional to the meters of the house.

Jesús lives in Valladolid with his wife and two children. It has a well-insulated 100m² house. Every year it consumes 16.000 kWh of energy for heating, similar to what it consumes in any city in central Spain.

Jesus analyzed what costs as a consumer (with taxes) heating and hot water each year with different types of energy.

Luckily Jesus changed his diesel boiler for a new one of 17kW pellets of power two years ago without needing more changes in his house of radiant floor. Last year, when gas oil was much cheaper than now, 237 € was saved and he is proud to generate employment and wealth in his province.

His brother Juan Carlos, who lives in a villa in 200m², changed the natural gas boiler for a chip boiler 3 years ago. Last year 2.918 € was saved, since only 395 € needed to be spent on chips for a consumption of 32.000 kWh.
